TOMORROW

"My dear" you said. The clinging remains of a love affair that held to my soul, letting go, long long ago. The words you speak hang in twilight, keeping me in a suspense of love within this evening glow, upon my constant existing low.

I hold on to find you once again to speak of pain and sorrow. You said "we would be" when the sun rose, but today is yesterday’s tomorrow, and tomorrow never knows.

For all the pain, there is no blame of the hurt inflicted upon me, because again I hope your love to borrow, upon the sunrise of tomorrow.

Yesterday was, and has always been the birth place of our love. Promises, lies, to hateful good-byes which fitted like a glove. Well now await for what I want to see, while holding on to this hateful sorrow, but I know this love can never be, for today is yesterday’s tomorrow.
